Karnataka Council for Technological Upgradation has commenced
functioning since 1996. It is registered under the Karnataka
Societies Registration Act, 1960. KCTU is a joint venture
of Central Government, State Government and Industry Associations.
This is first of its kind in the country and it has been set
up to fulfill the long felt needs of technological inputs
to the SME's of Karnataka and to highlight on investment opportunities.
It functions as a nodal agency for technology transfer and
as a facilitator. It will provide a network of information
agencies in India and abroad with easily available information
search loops and services. The Council functions under the
Chairmanship of Commissioner for Industrial Development and
Director of Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Karnataka.
